Service Opportunities

We mail out the 2022-23 ministry guide booklet to all registered families. The Ministry Guide includes:

  • Parish Mass & Office Schedules
  • Parish Clergy & Staff Contact Information
  • Brief summary of all ministries in the parish, ordered by area of parish life

You can view the document, download and even share it with fellow parishioners and friends. You don’t have to wait until the Ministry showcase. We encourage you to inquire and seek out ministries that you feel the Lord is asking you to participate in. Being called to ministry is life-long!

How will you share the gifts and blessings God has given you?
We are Called- You and Me…

by Christ today to come and follow him in some active way. Sitting back and quietly doing the minimum required of our faith is not enough. It never was, and never will be. Christ calls us, His disciples, to action and involvement. Now is the time. The Lord is calling you to help build His Kingdom. Right here. Right now.  Look through the Ministry Guide Book and call the office if you have any questions. Pray about it. Think about it. Discuss it with your family and friends and make the decision to give something a try. There is something for every type of interest, for every amount of time.

How is the Lord Calling You to Serve?

In your search for the right ministry, don’t limit yourself to just one specific area. Sometimes an opportunity looks great on paper, but the reality is quite different. Try to visit ministry events and get a feel for what they are like. Reach out to the ministry leader or staff liaison for that area of parish life if you have specific questions about one or more ministries.

How to Find the Right Ministry

There are numerous ministry opportunities available. The key is to find a ministry that you would enjoy and are capable of doing. It’s also important to make sure that your commitment matches what that ministry calls for. The following questions can help you discern:

  • Do you prefer to work alone or as part of a team?
  • Are you better behind the scenes or do you prefer to take a more visible role?
  • How much time are you willing to commit?
  • How much responsibility are you ready to take on?
  • What skills and experiences can you share?

Being a member of Most Precious Blood can be very fulfilling, helping us grow in our love of our Lord Jesus Christ and sharing our faith, our time and our talent with fellow parishioners as well as the community at large. Our parish is blessed to have many ways to use our gifts, as God intended for us to do. Learn, pray and discern which ministries and opportunities you are called to serve in that can help us Reach Wide, Grow Deep, Share Blessings and Build Faith as we all move closer to the Lord.
