October is Infant Loss Awareness Month
Did you know 1 in 4 pregnancies end in miscarriage, and about 1 in 160 pregnancies result in stillbirth? Join us in prayer and support for all those who suffer with this unspoken grief.
Next weekend, November 17 & 18, 2026, in the Narthex by the statue of our blessed Mother, you will find a display with an arrangement of roses, blank note cards, and glass beads. We invite you to write a special prayer intention for those who are pregnant, celebrating birth or adoption, grieving miscarriage, stillbirth, abortion, infant, or child death, or waiting to become pregnant or adopt. Drop the prayer intention into the prayer box. You may also take a colored or clear glass bead and drop it into the vase of white roses. This arrangement will serve as a beautiful visual reminder of the many varied needs of our parish family and to encourage prayer for one another.

Each bead color has a special meaning:
- Pink: Honoring Pregnancy and Unborn Babies.
- Red: Celebrating Births and Adoptions.
- Clear: Grieving With Families Suffering a Miscarriage, Abortion, Stillbirth, Infant or Child Death.
- Yellow: Remembering Those Wanting to Conceive or Adopt.
- Blue: Troubled Times.
- Purple: Grandparents Concerns
