20th Parish Anniversary Coming up in 2025!
On April 24, 2005, the First Mass of Most Precious Blood took place at Oviedo High School presided by our founding Pastor, now, Bishop Stephen Parkes. Almost 20 years later we have grown and have been blessed in so many ways. We pray the Lord continues to place His loving hand on our parish community as Empowered by the Eucharist, we continue to grow God’s kingdom.
We are incredibly blessed to have a vibrant and growing parish with over 2,200 families currently registered and many new families joining us every month. With the assistance of the Diocese of Orlando Synod, we discerned the Mission of our community which continues to lead and inspire us to be disciples…

Parish History
Most Precious Blood Catholic Church was established by Bishop Thomas Wenski in April 2005 to serve the growing Catholic Community in Oviedo and East Seminole County. The late Pope John Paul II designated 2005 as the Year of the Eucharist, calling upon all Catholics to honor and respect God’s gift of the Eucharist, to receive it more faithfully, and to reflect upon the meaning of the Real Presence of Christ in our lives.
Bishop Wenski chose the name of our parish in honor of the Year of the Eucharist. At every moment of every day, Mass is being celebrated somewhere in the world. We rejoice that the name of our community, in honor of the Most Precious Blood of Our Lord Jesus Christ, is prayerfully remembered at all times. Our first Mass was celebrated on April 24, 2005, the same day that Pope Benedict XVI was installed as the Pontiff of the Catholic Church.
Did You Know?
The first Mass on our Most Precious Blood campus off Lockwood Blvd. was celebrated on Holy Thursday, April 21st, 2011 by, now, Bishop Stephen Parkes and Father Jorge Torres.
The altar, credence table, and ambo in the Chapel were all handmade by our long-time parishioner Mike Brick, with wood cleared from our property during the construction of the Parish Life Center.
Mike passed away in September of 2021. May God rest his soul.
The main altar and ambo in the sanctuary of the Parish Life Center were donated by Annunciation Catholic Church. They are made out of rosewood.
Two of our former pastors (Bishop Stephen D. Parkes and Father Scott Circe) celebrated their first Masses on that same altar as newly ordained priests back when it was in the sanctuary at Annunciation Catholic Church.
