HOPE Helps’s Back to School Bash 2025!

This wonderful community event will take place this year on Saturday, August 2nd from 10 am to 3 pm at the First Methodist Church of Oviedo.

At HOPE Helps. Back to School Bash, local children in need will pick out a new backpack and then “shop” for a full list of school supplies, socks, underwear, and toiletries of their choosing. They will receive an eye screening, a free family lunch, and access to local resource agencies! This amazing event wouldn’t be possible without the support of our entire community. We hope you will consider donating and/or volunteering at this wonderful community event and help make a difference in the lives of our children and their families in need.

The kids and all the HOPE Helps volunteers who help get the children in our community ready for the new school year would like to send a big THANK YOU!

Our parish came together once again to support all those in need. No gift goes without the gratitude of the people receiving the tools they need to ensure the children are ready to learn! Your donations meant more than just having a pen or a backpack for school. It sends the message that they are not alone and that Jesus Christ loves us all! God Bless ALL of YOU!

2025 Recap- Thanks to your generous support, our Back to School Bash collection was a resounding success!

Each year, HOPE staff along with hundreds of volunteers, host the Back to School Bash for registered clients with the help of local businesses and churches who sponsor the event and host donation boxes. At the Back to School Bash, children are given everything they need to start their first day of school. During this event, children receive backpacks, pencils, pens, glue, notebooks, paper, socks, underwear, jeans, and more. In addition to these items, clients get to enjoy a day of fun with games for the kids, lunch for the whole family, balloon animals, face painting, and access to additional resources.
