Celebrate with us Divine Mercy Sunday on April 27, 2025.
The Feast of Divine Mercy was established by Pope John Paul II who canonized St. Faustina on April 30, 2000, and declared the Second Sunday of Easter (the Sunday after Easter Sunday) as “Divine Mercy Sunday”.
We will begin with the Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament. After a brief pause, we will pray the Rosary in Spanish and then in English. We will have quiet adoration until 3PM, at which time we will recite the Divine Mercy Chaplet in English and Spanish. There will be additional time for Adoration until Benediction and Reposition at 4:20 PM. All are welcome!
The devotion of The Divine Mercy is based on the writings of St. Faustina, a Polish nun, who wrote a diary recording the revelations she received about God’s mercy. The Divine Mercy message is simple: “God loves all of us. He wants us to recognize that His mercy is greater than our sins, so we will call upon Him with trust, receive His mercy, and let it flow through us to others.”

In Preparation to celebrate Divine Mercy Sunday, please pray the Novena of Divine Mercy beginning on Good Friday, April 18th, until Saturday, April 26th. We are asked to pray the Chaplet and the prayers of the Novena each of the nine days.

The message of The Divine Mercy is simple. It is that God loves us – all of us. And, he wants us to recognize that His mercy is greater than our sins so that we will call upon Him with trust, receive His mercy, and let it flow through us to others. Thus, all will come to share His joy.
The Divine Mercy message is one we can call to mind simply by remembering ABC:
A – Ask for His Mercy. God wants us to approach Him in prayer constantly, repenting of our sins and asking Him to pour His mercy out upon us and upon the whole world.
B – Be merciful. God wants us to receive His mercy and let it flow through us to others. He wants us to extend love and forgiveness to others just as He does to us.
C – Completely trust in Jesus. God wants us to know that the graces of His mercy are dependent upon our trust. The more we trust in Jesus, the more we will receive.
